"Blending the Art and Science of Medicine"

The University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga is perhaps one of the best kept secrets in Tennessee.  In 1974 it was established as the Clinical Education Center of Chattanooga, a branch campus of the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, to provide quality medical education to medical students, residents, and practicing physicians in Southeast Tennessee.

“The national search conducted for this position by the Chattanooga campus of the College of Medicine and Parker Executive Search identified a group of outstanding medical leaders,” Executive Dean Schwab stated.  “The search committee, ably lead by Phillip Burns, MD, chair of Surgery at the Chattanooga campus and outgoing Chattanooga Dean, B W.
