2018 Annual Research Day Awards Announced


Dean R. Bruce Shack, MD, and Associate Dean/DIO, Robert C. Fore, EdD, hosted the 5th Annual Patient Safety/Quality Improvement Day Awards on Friday afternoon, May 18, 2018, in Probasco Auditorium at the Erlanger Health System.  Seventeen (17) presentations were given earlier in the day, also in Probasco Auditorium.  


Judges for the event included:

The following awards were presented:


3rd Place:   Dr. Michael Facciolo, MD, Pediatrics Resident
                      "Increasing rate of fluoride varnish in a general pediatrics clinic"


2nd Place:   Dr. Rachel Keilman, Pediatrics Resident
                      "Introduction of spirometry testing in the Vance Stafford General Pediatrics
                        Clinic in Children age greater than 5 years old with a diagnosis of asthma"

2nd Place:   Dr. Christie Cherian, Pediatric Resident

                     "Depression and anxiety screening in Cystic Fibrosis patients"

1st Place:   Dr. Ann Blake, Pediatrics Resident
                    "Detection of postpartum depression in NICU mothers"
