CME at the UTCOM Chattanooga
CME/CE credits - The Office of Continuing Medical Education (CME) at University of Tennessee College of Medicine (UTCOM) Chattanooga certifies educational actviities for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits and AAFP Prescribed Credits, and issues certificates of attendance that count as CEU's and other continuing education credits to non-physicians for attending. Scope - The Office of CME at the UTCOM Chattanooga certifies educational activities for CME credit whenever the target audience is Tennessee physicians and the educational content meets the CME content requirements.

The Offices of CME at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine are committed to improving healthcare by providing learning experiences that enhance the knowledge, competence, performance, and patient outcomes of Tennessee physicians and other healthcare professionals at the local, state, regional and national levels. Offices of CME: Administrative Structure
The Office of CME at the UTCOM Chattanooga is the administrative center for the UTCOM's CME accreditation under Robert Fore, EdD (Associate Dean for CME) and Bill Reynolds, MBA (Director of CME Statewide), and this accreditation grants all campuses with the ability to provide continuing medical education for physicians and other medical professionals.
The UTCOM is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians, and it has achieved Accreditation with Commendation, the highest tier of CME accreditation.

Continuing Medical Education (CME) is part of the strategic plan at the University of Tennessee and is an integral part of the University of Tennessee College of Medicine (UTCOM).
