Transitional Year Rotations and Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is designed to meet the guidelines established by the
Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and its Transitional Year Residency Review Committee. Career counseling is provided by the Transitional Year Program Director. Consultation with other chairmen in the resident's anticipated specialties is also encouraged.
The Transitional Year Program Curriculum includes a minimum of six total months in disciplines offering fundamental clinical skills (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, and Surgery).
Rotations include:

General Internal Medicine (Inpatient Medicine). During one of the months the resident may be assigned to the Night Float Medicine Rotation. No vacation may be taken during these months. |

Internal Medicine Critical Care |

Ambulatory Medicine |
