Scientific Review Committee

The University has established a Scientific Review Committee (SRC) to review the scientific validity of hypotheses and study design. The Committee is chaired by Dr. Eric Gratias. Meetings are usually held the second Wednesday of each month at noon in the UTCOMC Conference Room (Suite 100, Whitehall Building). 

A submission to the SRC must include the following:

• The proposal
• The consent form or survey(s), if applicable
• Examples of all data collections forms
• Departmental research review form with appropriate signatures (chair and/or director of research)
• Appropriate corresponding IRB form (see IRB forms page)

Once a submission is approved and added to the agenda, the SRC Administrator (Stacey Hendricks) will assign the principal investigator a time to present at the SRC meeting. Attendance is required for SRC review. The investigator may be accompanied by key research personnel (e.g., the faculty mentor, coordinator).
